BAG SNATCHERS: A Halloween Comedy

How did I come up with the idea of robbing a bank on Halloween and dressing up as trick-or-treaters to escape? You don’t want to know. Really, it was a painful experience.

This family friendly comedy feature has obvious selling points and the great thing about a Holiday movie is you can get the bag (pun intended) every year, over and over. Although optioned multiple times, so far this script has proven to be too funny for Hollywood. But we will eventually get this project made so audiences can experience genuine laughter, which has been lacking in the world for quite some time.

Specializing in comedy and action dramatic storytelling.

One of StoryRay’s specialties is helping to seamlessly connect action or comedy set pieces into the story’s plot. Often times a comedy or action story will pause the narrative’s forward momentum in order to tell a joke or show a cool fight scene, then after the moment is over, the story goes back to pumping out boring plot and exposition. At StoryRay, the focus is on seamlessly integrating the good bits (i.e. jokes and action) with the plot in an organic fashion so that the plot doesn’t have to come to a stop in order to include the fun stuff. Maintaining forward momentum (like a ray of light) combined with a seamless thru line is part of the secret sauce that differentiates an okay story from something magical. Give us a try!

We can also help in other areas such as creating fleshed out, multidimensional characters and creating stories with conflict embedded at the core, not added on a superficial or surface level.
