Marlon Jamal Green is a storyteller whose work spans screenwriting, fiction, film production, and media education. He brings an extensive academic and professional background in communication, professional writing, dramatic writing, and film, having studied at UCLA, USC, NYU Tisch School of the Arts, and the University of Hartford.
Early in his career, Marlon worked in television, film, and music video production at de Passe Entertainment. That experience deepened his understanding of how writing, sound, and image combine to create an effective story experience.
His screenplays have been optioned by Hollywood production companies.
After teaching Communication at the college level, Marlon recognized something the industry had long ignored: some communities with the most compelling stories had the fewest platforms to tell them. That observation became the foundation for StoryRay LLC.
StoryRay is a digital publishing and media company focused on culturally rooted storytelling, media education, and amplifying underrepresented voices. Through original projects, story consulting, and emerging media tools, StoryRay is building the infrastructure independent creators have always needed.
Marlon’s flagship project, Omega Conquest, an Afrofuturist space fantasy rooted in the history of American slavery, is currently in production as an audio-first vertical podcast series.
